Long-distance move from Salt Lake City, UT to Little Rock, AR

Lies, it’s all lies.

Moved in November 2018. Value vans got our contract, said they would be the ones moving us but sold the contract off to arrow. Arrow literally tripled the price we were quoted and signed contract for. Arrow showed up 3 days late, with 2 separate half filled trucks. Lost some of our boxes, and didn’t give us the form to fill out so we could report it. Broke my dining table and bed, and said we had over 25000lbs of stuff when the estimate was 8000 ( we recently moved again and the company we hired said we had just over 9000 lbs of stuff, and in the interim 3 years we had another child and purchased furniture for the new babies room accounting for the extra weight. So no idea how they TRIPLED the weight).

Repeatedly called value vans for help, never got a call back. Worst moving experience ever.

Long-distance move from Indianapolis, IN to Austin, TX

Lowball Quote.

Very disappointed. They are a broker. They said my move will cost $4200 and I will definitely not pay more than that. Once the carrier had my items I had to pay an extra $1800 and file a theft claim with my insurance just to get them back. The move cost several thousand more than what they quoted. Don't trust their quote. The contract states that items will be assembled. My bed was not assembled. Pieces of my bed were lost so my bed is worthless now. My items arrived water damaged as the truck had a leak.

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Florida

Very happy with services.

I was very pleased with the entire process from beginning to end. After a long process we selected Value Van Lines because of the honesty with how they told me the process would be. The initial rep my wife and I were speaking with broke things down and took his time with us unlike the other companies who just seemed they wanted my business and did not care about what we needed or wanted. We were delivered yesterday and I can honestly say if I have to move again, I found my company.

Long-distance move from Tucson, AZ to State College, PA

Great service at a fair rate.

I received multiple phone calls from moving companies and after going through multiple quotes and reviews my girlfriend and I decided to go with this company Value Van Lines. The guys I spoke to on the phone were very professional and the rate we got was competitive with other companies but these guys really stood out, they even offered us a military discount for my service in the air force. Pick up and delivery went smoothly all of my furniture was wrapped and then unwrapped at our new home in Pennsylvania. If you are looking for a moving service I would recommend this company!

Long-distance move from Millbrook, AL to Murfreesboro, TN

Move from Alabama to Tennessee.

I called around and got a few quotes from a couple of different companies. Although Value Van Lines was slightly higher than the other quotes I had received I decided to go with them anyway. They were more thorough and the communication was so much better than the other companies. My rep, Trevor, was extremely kind and helpful. He went over everything with me step by step and he stayed in contact with me throughout the entire move. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them.

Long-distance move from Reno, NV to Tempe, AZ

Move interstate Reno to Phoenix.

Value is a broker so be prepared. The movers they sub-contracted the work though were horrible (Movin on Moving) The final price was higher than quoted after being reassured by Value Van Lines that the always "estimate high".. The sub dumped all of our belongings in large wardrobe boxes even though we paid for "platinum" packing from Value. The sub stole tools and did a lot of damage from the way they packed. Be prepared for no quality control and a horrible move as Value subs your move to the bottom feeders. The sub used 2 rental trucks and lost several of our boxes at their "warehouse
in Las Vegas. next time, we will find our own mover and get a direct quote. Now we know the initial quote will be higher than the Value price but the price won't be raised by the sub claiming "our move was larger than the estimate" and sub did not provide the weight tickets so we got clipped by both Value and Movin on Moving.

Long-distance move from Atlanta, GA to Greenville, SC

Liars and cheats.

After 3 salesmen from this co assured me the truck wd be there on a Monday st 7 am, I received a call Sunday saying no one cd come til Tuesday. Well after a closing sale and purchase alreddy lined up out of state, this was not acceptable. After several back and forth conversations with MIke, a truck showed up at noon. I didn’t get out of my house until 9pm and had to be at a closing out of state the following morning at 9 am. Pursuant to delivery, the quote of $2800 turned into $3990. THEN, after paying an initial deposit of 1k, they went in and debited an addl 1k from my account wo permission. This came to a total of 5k. DO NOT use these people. It’s a “bait and switch”,.

Long-distance move from Mandeville, LA to Las Vegas, NV

Deceptive. Use at your own risk.

They will sub contract your move. Then if there is a dispute, they will not resolve it and say the issue is between yourself and the mover. Never mind the contract is between yourself and Value Van Lines. There never was a contract between yourself and the mover. Trying to resolve the dispute will result in frustration and unanswered calls. Finally, if you go to an external party for help like the BBB, they will refuse to talk to use and start to hang up on you. They will try and put the burden on you for any inaccuracy in their estimation even though you can only answer the questions posed by them. They will never come to your house since they are not local. Lesson learned, here. STAY WITH A LOCAL MOVER. YOU CAN LOOK THEM IN THE EYE AND KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH. The movers they sub-contracted the work though walked off the job because I wouldn't agree to a renegotiated contract at triple the price I originally had. Value Van Lines kept my deposit saying they did their job. Really? Why then wasn't the move completed? I had to find another mover at the last minute. Value Van Lines will provide a low quote, suck you in, and then leave you hanging. NEVER GIVE MONEY TILL THE JOB IS COMPLETED.

Long-distance move from Saint Louis, MO to Veneta, OR

Horrible Company!!

This is by far the WORST moving company ever!! They took my 500 dollar deposit and gave me a contract, I did have to change the date but they said “ no problem”. Then the mover called me on Mother’s Day which is a Sunday and told me he was on his way and never showed up! So I called the company and they said that they would take care of it. The next thing I know they sent me the same mover that came to my house at 11pm and he told me “I had to give him another 5,000$ !! I told him that I was calling the the company and he left! They tried to blame everything on me and to this day I still haven’t received my deposit back!! There are thieves and liars!!
Please don’t make the same mistake I did!
Go with someone else!!

Long-distance move from Indianapolis, IN to Palm Coast, FL

Never use this broker.

Don't, DO NOT use Value Van Lines for your move. They are not movers, they are brokers who sell your move to subcontractors who may, or MAY NOT be qualified. My estimated $4,200 move in July from Indiana to Florida was done by an outfit out of Georgia, and it cost $9,600, plus the movers did an estimated $1,700 worth of damage to my goods, and Value Van Lines won't cover a penny of that. Also, my understanding from the BBB site is that they now have a clause buried in their contract that you can't leave negative reviews about them on websites. I wonder why that is??

Find someone else. You'll probably save money in the end and have a much better experience. You get what you pay for.
